Hunter is the original British wellington boot, made since 1856 and still the benchmark for a tall rubber boot. The Original Tall is the one most people picture when they think of a welly: a handcrafted natural rubber upper, a full calf, the buckle strap at the top and a tread built for mud rather than pavements. We stock the Original in matt and gloss, the Refined for a slimmer leg, short and Chelsea styles for everyday wear, and the neoprene-lined versions for winter. Sizing runs true but Hunter's classic fit is generous through the foot and narrow at the calf, so if you need more room look at the adjustable and wide calf styles. It is the boot for festivals, dog walks and the school run, and it is the one customers most often replace with another pair of the same.
