Spats

Spats are natural rubber ankle boots cut in a 1920s silhouette, complete with the button-across flap the style is named for. They are designed and made to a British pattern, and named after the era's icons rather than a product code. Being ankle height they are quick on and off, which suits gardening, the school run and short trips out in the rain far better than a tall boot. Insulated versions keep them wearable through winter. Choose Spats if you want something with more character than a plain welly and no interest in wading through a field.
